09 July 2002 - Beyonce's Warning
- Solo Destiny's Child singer Beyonce Knowles says the music industry is full of backbiters who will "mess with your head." Speaking to the BBC, Beyonce said, "I wouldn't suggest this as a career for anyone... It makes you happy but also sad. Some deal with it, others can't." And Destiny's Child? "We'll remain together as long as we have fun on stage and make good records."
- The boy's all grown up now, so we have to stop calling him Lil Bow Wow, and leave it at just... Bow Wow. What's been happening for our hip-hop teen? He's been filming a basketball movie called 'Like Mike'. The 14 year old got to hang out with the stars of the NBA and play a lot of basketball. It's a hard life...
- Noel Gallagher from Oasis has found a new target, this time it's George Michael. Gallagher has attacked Michael's new single 'Shoot The Dog' which attacks the relationship between America & the UK. "He's now trying to make social comment, this is the guy who hid who he actually was from the public for 20 years, now, all of a sudden, he's got something to say about the way of the world. I find it laughable..."

08 July 2002 - Jackson Fights Racism
- Is the music industry racist? According to Michael Jackson they are. Jackson has amped up his fight with his record label, by accusing them of stealing from artists, especially black artists. Jackson singled out Sony Music's Tony Motolla for special treatment saying "he's a racist, and he's very, very, very devilish". Jacko called people to action saying, "If you fight for me, you're fighting for all black people, dead and alive... We have to put a stop to this incredible injustice."

05 July 2002 - Manson Hospitalised
- After a "strenuous week" in the recording studio, Marilyn Manson found himself being rushed to hospital. He spoke to fans via his website saying, "I landed myself in the hospital as a result of going too far in the creation process... I am fine now and glad to be back in the studio. We have just completed the last track for the album and it is my favourite so far." Manson's new album,'The Golden Age Of Grotesque' LP, is due out later this year.
- Following on from the international success of the TV show 'The Osbournes', it has been revealed that matriach Sharon Osbourne has cancer. Sharon had surgery yesterday and is expected to make a full recovery. Her cancer was diagnosed as treatable. Sharon & Ozzy have been married for 20 years. 02 July 2002 - Death At Glastonbury
- A dead body has been found in a tent at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK. The 36-year-old man was found near the Dance Tent by his girlfriend. The death is not being treated as suspicious and an autopsy is scheduled for today.
- Chicago Police are investigating four new sex tapes, allegedly featuring indicted r&b singer R Kelly. Kelly's camp say it's part of a smear campaign to prejudice the jury in his current court case. Kelly has already pleaded not guilty to 21 cases of child pornography.
- We may not have heard much from Vanessa Amorosi for a while, but we'll be hearing a lot more of her soon. Vanessa will be performing at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester next month singing her hit single 'Shine'. She's currently working on a new album, and a new single is expected by the end of the year.

28 June 2002 - BETs are in
- The Black Entertainment Television awards have been announced. Funksters Earth, Wind & Fire were given a liftime achievement award while Ja Rule & Missy Elliott won the hip hop awards and Best new artist went to Alicia Keys.
- You know things are bad when rock fans say you're ugly! Poor Chad Kroeger of Nickelback has been voted 'Ugliest Man In Rock' by visitors to Kerrang. He edged out Muse's Matt Bellamy and Motorhead's Lemmy for the top spot. No word from Kroeger about the honour just yet.
- R Kelly has pleaded 'Not guilty' in a US court on 21 charges of child pornography. Kelly denies he is the man seen in a videotape having sex with an underaged girl. His attorney claims the girl was over 18. If convicted Kelly could spend the next 15 years in prison.

26 June 2002 - Glastonbury Goes Soft
Kylie Minogue - After fears of crowd safety UKs Glastonbury Festival has opted for softer headline acts instead. This years festival will be headlined by Coldplay & Rod Stewart. "We've avoided that heavy American rock like Offspring because crowd-surfing and all those things seem to cause problems," the organiser told the BBC. "I'm a bit worried about people bouncing about on top of each other and things. So there's a calmer feel"
- The reconciliation of long-time lover Kylie Minogue and model James Gooding doesn't seem to be going well with after a breakfast fight in Paris. Gooding apparently spent the night with Kate Weinberg, daughter of designer Anouska Hempel. The couple split earlier this year with rumours of Gooding's infidelities.

- What was that? Six days? Sorry... my modem broke. It's fixed now. News?
- Courtney Love, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic all agree that previously unreleased Nirvana songs should be released for the fans, despite their legal battle. A 'Best Of' CD is planned for the end of the year, with a new track 'You Know You're Right' hopefully appearing on the album. A box-set of Nirvana rarities and singles is also planned.
- Madonna's nude scene's were cut from her new film because they weren't "flattering". And according to test screenings, audiences aren't that fond of the rest of Madonna's character either, saying she's too bitchy and the audience didn't relate to the violence/sex connection in the film. Maybe she really is getting a bit too old?

19 June 2002 - Britney Talks About Justin
- Britney Spears has finally spoken about her break-up with long-time boyfriend Justin Timberlake. "It's a strange feeling getting used to being single again but I suppose I'll have to cope. I'm just starting to get the knack of it because ever since I was 15 I've been in a serious relationship," she told the British press. "I'm still hurting but I am trying to see it as an experience. The worst thing is everyone wants to talk to me about it. Everywhere I go people are asking how I am."
- In the aftermath of Kylie Minogue's ticket sales the evidence clearly says, Australia loves their singing budgie. Kylie sold out for stadium concerts in Melbourne, with a fifth on sale today. In Sydney, two nights at the Sydney Entertainment Centre sold out, with a third expected to sell out. More than 56,000 tickets have been sold so far.

- Could Australia love Kylie Minogue any more than we allready do? More than 56,000 tickets for her Sydney & Melbourne shows were sold in the first three hours, with extra shows being added to meet demand. By lunch time a third show was added at each venue making Kylie the fastest selling concert artist in Australia after Pearl Jam. JUST ANNOUNCED: A fifth Melbourne has gone on sale!
- More than 10,000 people, including band Radiohead, will gather outside the British parliament in the world's largest ever protest for justice in world trade. The protest is designed to draw attention to unfair global trade laws which favour richer, more developed countries and cripple the already poor.
